Everything you need to know about obtaining your MOH (Ministry of Health and Prevention) physiotherapy license in Sharjah — DataFlow verification, Prometric exam, MOHAP portal, documents, fees, and a complete roadmap for Indian physiotherapists.
Sharjah offers a unique combination of professional opportunity, cultural richness, and affordable living.
Sharjah is investing heavily in healthcare infrastructure. New hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and sports medicine facilities are creating consistent demand for qualified physiotherapists.
MOH licensing is widely regarded as more straightforward than DHA or DOH. The process is transparent and well-documented, making it an accessible pathway for Indian applicants.
Sharjah is significantly more affordable than Dubai. Rent is 40–60% lower, and daily expenses are substantially cheaper, allowing you to save a higher proportion of your tax-free salary.
Located just 20 minutes from Dubai, Sharjah offers the perfect balance — enjoy Dubai’s world-class attractions while living in a more affordable, family-friendly emirate.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) is the federal health authority governing physiotherapy practice in Sharjah and all Northern Emirates.
The MOH license is the mandatory regulatory credential for physiotherapists who wish to practise in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain — collectively known as the Northern Emirates. Unlike Dubai which operates under DHA and Abu Dhabi under DOH, the rest of the UAE falls under federal MOH jurisdiction.
MOH licensing follows the same foundational framework as DHA and DOH — DataFlow verification, a Prometric exam, and a document-based application review through the MOHAP e-portal. One of the key advantages of MOH licensing is its flexibility across five emirates.
MOH covers Sharjah & Northern Emirates (federal authority, MOHAP portal, lower fees). DHA covers Dubai only (Sheryan portal, higher salary ceiling). DOH covers Abu Dhabi only (NABIDH portal, highest salaries).
Federal authority governing Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. Uses MOHAP e-portal for applications.
Governing body for Dubai only. Uses Sheryan portal. Higher salary ceiling but higher cost of living.
Governing body for Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Western Region. Uses NABIDH portal. Strictest requirements, highest salaries.
Follow these steps in order for a smooth application experience. Most Indian physiotherapists complete the MOH process in 3–5 months.
Submit your educational credentials and work experience documents to DataFlow Group for independent verification. DataFlow contacts your university and previous employers directly to confirm authenticity. This step is mandatory for all MOH applicants.
MOH requires IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.0 (no band below 5.5) or OET with Grade B in all subtests. If your physiotherapy education was conducted entirely in English, you may request a waiver.
Register on the MOHAP e-portal, complete the application form, upload all required documents including passport, verified credentials, IELTS/OET score, and state council registration. Pay the application fee of approximately AED 700.
After approval, book your MOH Physiotherapy Prometric exam at test centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and other Indian cities. The exam comprises 100–150 MCQs with a 2–3 hour time limit.
Upon passing the exam, MOH issues your Eligibility Letter electronically through the MOHAP portal. This confirms you meet all requirements to practise as a physiotherapist under MOH jurisdiction.
Once you receive a job offer from a healthcare facility in Sharjah or any Northern Emirate, your employer processes your work visa and activates your MOH practicing license. You will need to be physically present in the UAE for final formalities.
